François-Paul Journe is one of the most celebrated watchmakers of the current age with F. P. Journe watches continually making headlines for the extraordinary prices they fetch at auction. However, auctions aren’t the only place to by an F. P. Journe, you could also visit one of the brand’s 11 boutiques around the world. They recently expanded this fleet of shops by opening a new establishment in the heart of London’s luxury retail area, the F. P. Journe Mayfair Boutique.
The new boutique is located at 33 Bruton Street, Mayfair, W1J 6QZ. It’s a major moment for high end collectors in the London and the UK, granting a much higher degree of access to these highly sought after timepieces. The quality of the environment is suitably high end as well, built with customer comfort in mind as evidenced by the fully stocked bar and library inside.
Aesthetically, the boutique leans predominantly on a form of classical modernism – open and light but with a strong focus on traditional materials such as wood. From the outside it’s very classy as well with colonnades flanking the large display windows through which you can see a handful of display cabinets.
The new London boutique joins F. P. Journe’s other boutiques, which are located in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Geneva, Paris, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Beirut, Kyiv and Dubai. The addition of an F. P. Journe boutique in London is not likely to mean the exclusive watches suddenly flood into the UK but hey, at least we’re likely to have access to the Boutique Collection now.
